Collaborations

  • Krzysztof Penderecki – Janusz Wojtarowicz arranged Penderecki's famous “Chaconne” for accordion trio and performed it with Motion Trio at venues including Carnegie Hall in New York. This version was published by Schott and released by Warner Classics on the album “Polonium”, a collection of Polish music arranged by Wojtarowicz.
  • Michael Nyman – Janusz Wojtarowicz arranged Nyman's music for the joint album “Michael Nyman & Motion Trio”, released by Michael Nyman Records. The album also includes one of Wojtarowicz's signature pieces – “Silence”.
  • Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, Oscar winner – Jan A.P. Kaczmarek and Janusz Wojtarowicz together created the project “Kaczmarek by Motion Trio”.
  • Jerzy Maksymiuk – Janusz Wojtarowicz arranged the pieces written by Maestro Maksymiuk for and dedicated to Motion Trio: “When Dreams Burn” (“Gdy marzenia płoną”) and “Motion Trio in D”.
  • Marta Ptaszyńska, professor at the University of Chicago – Prof. Marta Ptaszyńska and Janusz Wojtarowicz together prepared and adapted her piece “The Last Waltz in Vienna” for Motion Trio.
  • Michał Rosa – together with Motion Trio, Janusz Wojtarowicz composed the score for the film “Happiness of the World” (“Szczęście świata”), for which he and Motion Trio received the award for best music at the 41st Gdynia Film Festival in 2016.
  • Elżbieta Szmytka, soprano – Janusz Wojtarowicz arranged the “Dance Songs” (“Piosenki taneczne”) by Derwid (Witold Lutosławski). Their joint concert took place at the Festival of Polish Music in Kraków in 2023.
